Kroger Trip 08.07.13

I had not been in my Kroger in a while, since they stopped doubling coupons in May actually. Last night I decided I had seen a couple great deals listed here that I might stop by and try to take advantage of. I am so glad I did. My trip went like this:

4 Crest mouthwash @ $3.99 = $15.96
4 Gillette Fusion Proglide shave gel @ $2.99 = $11.96
4 Gillette Satin Care shave gel @ $2 = $8
4 Gillette Shave gel @ $2 = $8
3 Reach Deep Clean floss @ $1.99 = $5.97
1 Oral B stages toothbrush @ $2.47
1 Reach toothbrush @ $1
1 Mirra lip brush @ $1
4 Mentos gum @ $1 = $4

Total: $58.36

These sale prices when my Kroger card was scanned had pulled an additional $17.71 off of the items, so my original subtotal was $76.07. The mega sale pulled an additional $20 off my total, so before I started handing over my Qs, I had already saved $37.71.

Qs used:

(4) $1.50 Crest = $ 6
(4) $2 Gillette Fusion Proglide = $8
(1) $1 Gillette Satin Care = $1
(3) $.75 Gillette Satin Care = $2.25
(1) $1 Gillette Shave gel = $1
(3) $.75 Gillette Shave gel = $2.25
(1) $1 Reach floss = $1
(1) $1/2 Reach floss $1 = $1
(1) $1 Oral B stages = $1
(1) $1 Reach toothbrush = $1
(4) $1 Mentos = $4

Total Qs = $28.50

Total OOP = $9.86 plus $ 1.32 tax = $11.18

My receipt reads 87% savings. . . so glad I stopped by, as we were completely out of mouthwash anyway (regular shelf price on those was $5.47 before the sales) and I spent OOP what I would have spent on two bottles and got 2 more and a lot of shaving cream and such. Perhaps my love affair with Kroger is not over after all.
