Dollar General trip 08.17.13

                             dg 08.17.13.jpg

So it was another $5/$30 this weekend at DG, and we were running low on batteries for the wii remotes (and believe me, I will not last another two weeks of summer with the kids if I don't have operational wii remotes LOL), so off to DG I went. My trip looked like this:

4 Palmolive dish liquid @ $1 each = $4
3 Gillette Shave gel @ $2.35 each = $7.05
4 Energizer batteries @ $3.75 each = $15
2 Always liners @ $1 each = $2
1 Bic Round Stic @ $1.50
1 Reese's pumpkin @ $.75 (had to throw this in because I was counting the pens at shelf price of $2, but they were actually on sale so I was short and the reese's was the first little thing I could get my hands on LOL)

Total:  $30.30

Qs used:

$5/$30 DG Q
(4) $.50/1 Palmolive = $2
(1) $6/3 Gillette
(4) $1.50/1 Energizer = $6
(2) $.50/1 Always = $1
(1) $1/1 Bic

Total Qs = $21

Total after Qs and including $1.32 tax = $10.62  . . . . but wait, I now have 3 codes to submit for the Energizer $8 gas card mastercard rebate and I earned $.50 back through my ibotta on the pens, so when you factor those in, my adjusted total is $2.12. I can live with that LOL. :)

Wal Mart trip 08.16.13

                            wal mart 08.16.13.jpg

I don't often shop at Wal-Mart, or share the trips that I do make, but I was really pleased with this trip and just wanted to share. Factoring in all my coupons and rebates, I had about a 97% savings, which I must say I love.

Here it is:

6 cans Gillette Foamy Shave Cream @ $1.72 = $ 10.32
1 Elmers two pack glue stick @ $.50
2 Neutrogena make up remover wipes @ $1.97 = $3.94
2 Curad bandages @ $.96 = $1.92

Subtotal: $16.68

Qs used:
(1) $6/3 Gillette
(1) $3.50/1 Neutrogena
(2) $.50/1 Curad

Total with $.88 tax = $1.06 and have already been credited my $.50 on the glue sticks from ibotta so total after all Qs and rebates factored in = $.56!!!!

    Kroger Trip 08.07.13

I had not been in my Kroger in a while, since they stopped doubling coupons in May actually. Last night I decided I had seen a couple great deals listed here that I might stop by and try to take advantage of. I am so glad I did. My trip went like this:

    4 Crest mouthwash @ $3.99 = $15.96
    4 Gillette Fusion Proglide shave gel @ $2.99 = $11.96
    4 Gillette Satin Care shave gel @ $2 = $8
    4 Gillette Shave gel @ $2 = $8
    3 Reach Deep Clean floss @ $1.99 = $5.97
    1 Oral B stages toothbrush @ $2.47
    1 Reach toothbrush @ $1
    1 Mirra lip brush @ $1
    4 Mentos gum @ $1 = $4

    Total: $58.36

These sale prices when my Kroger card was scanned had pulled an additional $17.71 off of the items, so my original subtotal was $76.07. The mega sale pulled an additional $20 off my total, so before I started handing over my Qs, I had already saved $37.71.

    Qs used:

    (4) $1.50 Crest = $ 6
    (4) $2 Gillette Fusion Proglide = $8
    (1) $1 Gillette Satin Care = $1
    (3) $.75 Gillette Satin Care = $2.25
    (1) $1 Gillette Shave gel = $1
    (3) $.75 Gillette Shave gel = $2.25
    (1) $1 Reach floss = $1
    (1) $1/2 Reach floss $1 = $1
    (1) $1 Oral B stages = $1
    (1) $1 Reach toothbrush = $1
    (4) $1 Mentos = $4

    Total Qs = $28.50

    Total OOP = $9.86 plus $ 1.32 tax = $11.18

My receipt reads 87% savings. . . so glad I stopped by, as we were completely out of mouthwash anyway (regular shelf price on those was $5.47 before the sales) and I spent OOP what I would have spent on two bottles and got 2 more and a lot of shaving cream and such. Perhaps my love affair with Kroger is not over after all.

    Dollar General Trip 08.04.13

So it was time to restock the laundry supply, and with the great deal including a $5/$25 promotion on select products this week and a $2 wisk Q expiring on the 4th, it was time to hit DG. This is how it went:

    5 Wisk detergent @ $3.95 = $19.75
    2 Lipton tea bags @ $3 = $6

    Total = $25.75 - $5 automatic savings w/ promo

    Qs used:

    (5) $2 Wisk = $10
    (2) $1 Lipton IP = $2

    Total including tax = $9.73

At $1.39 per item including tax, makes me super happy to be restocked on detergent. Now if only I could get the laundry to do itself LOL.
